Interesting that the iPlayer smartphone app - currently not available in the USA - will apparently become global next year. Hopefully it won't carry a cost. I think we would take exception to the observation that the part of BBC most familiar to Americans are the TV programs such as Dr. Who and Sherlock (both of which are quite good, by the way...).
