You are invited to contribute an essay/article on social policy in transition. There will be five volumes as detailed below. Volume 1: Overview & contemporary issues in social policy (Deadline: April 30, 2004) Volume 2: On Human Rights (Deadline: September 30, 2004) Volume 3: Contemporary welfare theories and applications (October - February 28, 2005) Volume 4: Arts in Social Policy (March - July 31, 2005) Volume 5: Gender and Sexuality (August - December 31, 2005) Details for volumes 3 5 will be available in the near future. Publisher: Thammasat University Press, Bangkok, Thailand. The length should not exceed 5,000 words for each. Regarding the topic, the author can focus the topic on social policy in his/her country or the topic can be focused on particular issues such as gender, modernization, industrialization, social protection etc. Deadline for the essay/article submission (Volume 2): September 30, 2004.
