Dear Peace researchers, educators, activists and community members, I AM DELIGHTED TO INVITE YOU TO THE 2006 CANADIAN PEACE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (CPREA) CONFERENCE TO BE HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA (UBC), VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA (B.C.), CANADA, DURING JUNE 24-26, 2006. The CPREA Conference will be held in conjunction with the World Peace Forum, Vancouver, B.C., June 23-28, 2006. The Programme Committee invites proposals for papers, panels or roundtables on all aspects of Peace, (e.g. Peace Research, Conflict Resolution, Social Justice, Global Order, Human Rights, Ethnic and National Movements, Disarmament, Environment, Sustainable Development & Peace, International Law, Globalization, Terrorism, etc.). Both interdisciplinary and discipline-specific proposals are welcome. Please send your proposals by e-mail the whole body of the proposal (without attachments or encoding or word processing documents) to Dr. Shreesh Juyal, President, CPREA at the following e-mail address: <[email protected]> DEADLINE FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF PROPOSALS: NOVEMBER 30, 2005 ACCOMMODATION: Regarding accommodation, Ms. Lynn Hainsworth, Executive Director of the World Peace Forum (WPF) writes that "For those delegates who would have a difficult time due to the high cost of accommodation in Vancouver, there will be space available at minimal cost in the residences of UBC (900 spaces, some shared). In addition, the WPF is aranging 1500 billets. The WPF can also find reasonably- priced accommodation in hotels in Richmond (which is close to the UBC Campus) for delegates who can afford better accommodation".
