The Global Studies Association (GSA) has the pleasure to announce its
First GSA Postgraduate and Young Researchers' International
Conference. Formed in 1999 by scholars from a wide range of
universities and nations, GSA believes that research approaches to
globalisation processes have to be multidisciplinary and
multidimensional, innovative and imaginative. The rationale behind
the organisation of this conference is that postgraduate students and
young researchers are at the forefront of research. Thus, a central
aim of the conference is the bringing together of postgraduate
students and young researchers from various countries with the
intention of promoting and facilitating the exchange of ideas,
dissemination of research, and the establishment of interdisciplinary
research networks. This two-day conference will take place in the
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Manchester Metropolitan
