Job Announcement Professor of Applied Human Rights and Director of the Centre Centre for Applied Human Rights, University of York York (UK) __________________________________________________ The University of York intends to establish a new interdisciplinary Centre for Applied Human Rights and seeks to appoint a founding Professor who will be the Centre's first Director. Both the Centre and the professorial post are made possible through a generous benefaction from the Sigrid Rausing Trust. The Director will take the lead in developing interdisciplinary programmes at graduate and research levels in the Centre, which will also house a Protective Fellowships scheme for human rights defenders. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar with experience of addressing human rights in practical contexts, from any discipline within the social and health sciences, humanities or Law. The salary will be competitive and the current professorial minimum is £46,296 per annum.
