Call for Applications "Happiness East And West: Ethics, Agency, Identity" 4-year PhD Studentship Philosophy Department, School of Humanities, University of Hong Kong Hong Kong (China) __________________________________________________ Thanks to a special funding initiative, we will have an opening for an outstanding philosophy student to pursue research towards a PhD in association with a collaborative, comparative research project titled "Happiness East And West: Ethics, Agency, Identity." The student will be supervised by one or more members of the project team, or another member of the Philosophy Department. Their research may take any philosophical approach to the notion of happiness, but must be in some way comparative (eg. East-West, or ancient-modern). Team members are: Dr Timothy O'Leary; Professor Chad Hansen; Professor Jiwei Ci; and a Post-Doctoral Fellow commencing July 2007.
