Call for Papers "Globalization and Democracy" Interdisciplinary Conference Center for Globalization and Governance, Princeton University Princeton, NJ (USA) 27-28 September 2007 __________________________________________________ On behalf of the Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, we would like to invite you to send us a proposal for a paper to be presented at a conference on Globalization and Democracy that will take place on September 27 and 28, 2007. The conference is designed to explore the theoretical, empirical and historical connections between democracy and globalization. We anticipate participation and attendance by scholars across disciplinary boundaries. As such, we welcome papers that examine the causal connections between democracy and globalization broadly conceived. Depending on the nature of the proposals, we anticipate selecting between 8 and 12 papers and will put together panels of two or three papers along with a discussant. Proposals can be for new or existing unpublished papers. The Center for Globalization and Global Governance will cover transportation and hotel expenses for authors and discussants. Authors of papers selected for presentation will receive an honorarium of $1000. We look forward to receiving your proposal; please submit your proposal via the conference registration site at: https://weblamp.princeton.edu/~pcglobal/globdem/globdem07.php The deadline for submission is March 30, 2007. Authors selected for participation will be notified via email, by the end of May. If you have questions, please direct them to any of the organizers.
