The post is tenable from: January 1, 2008

Qualifications: to be qualified for the post of professor,
candidates shall have demonstrated a high level of both
academic and pedagogical merit. Assessment will be based on
the degree of academic, pedagogical, administrative and
other qualities that are deemed of importance for the
position. In addition, consideration will be taken of
managerial skills such as developing, leading, executing and
evaluating education and research, and also of an ability to
cooperate with the community and to inform about the
research, education and development being carried out by the
department.

In choosing the appropriate candidate emphasis will be
placed on academic and pedagogical merit equally. The
university has a policy of individually negotiated salaries
and applicants may include their salary expectations in the
application.

Applications are to be made to the Vice-Chancellor, Lund
University, Box 117, 221 00 Lund and shall have reached the
Registrar by Wednesday, May 2 2007 at the latest.

Please state the vacancy reference number in your
application. Four copies of all documents and manuscripts
supporting the application shall have reached the registrar
by the closing date for applications. No more than fifteen
of the applicants most important publications are to be
enclosed with the application. A list of all enclosed
publications with ISBN and ISSN numbers is to accompany the
application. All documents submitted are to be witnessed by
two people with their signatures, printed names and
telephone numbers.
