Job Announcement Assistant Professor in Comparative or Non-Western Philosophy Pitzer College Claremont, CA (USA) __________________________________________________ Pitzer College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Comparative or Non-Western Philosophy, for an appointment beginning Fall, 2009. We seek candidates who work in the areas of Comparative or Non-Western Philosophy (including Native American or other Indigenous Philosophies, Latin American Philosophy and Islamic Philosophy). A successful candidate should be competent to teach one or more of Ethical Theory, Logic, or Continental Thought. Ability to contribute to one of the Claremont Colleges Interdisciplinary Programs (e.g., American Studies, Black Studies, Asian Studies, Chicano Studies, Asian-American Studies, International and Intercultural Studies, Gender & Feminist Studies or Environmental Studies) is a plus.
