Dear Subscriber of InterPhil,

At the beginning of the new year I like to wish you all the
best in 2008 which hopefully brings you joy, peace, health
and everything you wish! May we have the wisdom to choose
priorities for those things that really matter in life.

I would like to use this occasion to ask for your help for
the polylog project of which InterPhil is an integrative
service. Our project is very ambitious, maybe too ambitious
given that it is a completely voluntary project; and we are
only few collaborators. But scholarly self-exploitation has
its limits where it endangers the own subsistence. So let me
sincerely ask for your help - both through financial support
and/or by personal collaboration.

I believe you can easily imagine the many efforts that are
necessary to make polylog to what it is. Only to keep
InterPhil highly topical and relevant huge amounts of
information from different sources have to be read and
processed daily. But InterPhil forms only a small part of
the whole project; and I do not want to dissemble that
polylog ultimately got into severe troubles. Not to mention
the many plans for advancements and extensions we do not
manage to implement since years...

Please help us in this effort. Perhaps you can agree with
the following position: We make our work freely available,
you provide a sum reflecting what the initiative is worth to
you. So together we can assure its future.

If you would like to help us with a gift, you can easily
make your contribution online by credit card, by e-payment,
by bank transfer or with a cheque. Contributions of any
amount are welcome, also very small ones. If every
subscriber gives a little, all in all it will be a
substancial help. polylog is recognised as non-profit by
German law. Please simple follow the link below and choose
your preferred method of payment:

Become a member of polylog if you would like to support us
in the long run. Annual membership dues are intentionally
kept low in order to make membership possible for all who
are interested. The amount of the dues can be anywhere above
the minimum of 20 EUR. We would be happy to have you as a
new member. You can easily apply online following this link:
http://prof.polylog.org/mbs-en.htm

Further, we would be pleased to find new collaborators,
especially for translation and proof-reading, but also for
the review process, layout and technical work. Since most of
the work takes place over email, collaboration can easily be
either long-term or on an ad hoc basis. Every kind of help
will be most welcome. For example: If you could do one
translation a year, even a short one, this would be already
a significant help for us. For information on possibilities
for collaboration, please see:
http://prof.polylog.org/coll-en.htm

If you want to collaborate, please send a brief note to
<[email protected]> with a short resume, specifying the
kind of collaboration you are offering, your philosophical
background and your particular interests. This will help us
to provide you the tasks which are most appropriate to your
competence and interest.

I appreciate your time and your attention to this letter and
thank you for your generous support for polylog!
I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards from Mexico,
Bertold Bernreuter
