Conference Announcement "An Irish Model for Peace? International Lessons, Interdisciplinary Debates" Interdisciplinary Conference Specialist Group on Peace and Conflict, Political Studies Association of Ireland (PSAI) Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin Dublin (Ireland) 22-23 May 2009 __________________________________________________ The Political Studies Association of Ireland (PSAI) specialist group on Peace and Conflict is pleased to announce the programme for its forthcoming conference on 'An Irish Model for Peace? International lessons, Interdisciplinary debates'. The conference is to be held on Friday 22nd- Saturday 23rd May 2009 at the Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin. The programme includes seven sessions of 3-4 papers covering the following topics: - Debating conflict theory - Ending political violence - Post-conflict democracy - Reconciliation and civil society - Assessing the Irish model - Exporting the Irish model - Comparing the Irish model Participation is restricted to members of the PSAI, but non-members can participate by joining the PSAI at the time of registration. There is no conference fee, only the charge for PSAI membership where necessary. Places are limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis.
