Call for Papers "The Age of Breath: Yoga, the Body and the Feminine" International Conference University of Primorska Society for Comparative Religion Portorož (Slovenia) 6-8 May 2010 __________________________________________________ The conference is organized in cooperation with Luce Irigaray who will introduce the event with a talk: "A new step for humanity: Beyond East and West". The conference will will focus on the role of body, yoga and breath in European, Asian and other philosophical traditions. Original contributions on the following topics are welcome: the philosophy of Luce Irigaray the body, as perceived from the Eastern and the Western perspective the role of air and breath in Eastern and Western philosophies yoga and the cultivation of breath: ethical and social approaches ethics, spirituality and the maternal order breathing between Oneself and the Other(s) feminine approaches to nature sacred teachings: from body to nature body and breath: interdisciplinary approaches During the first two days of the conference Luce Irigaray will be taking written questions and will respond with comments at the concluding session, followed by general discussion on May 8.
