Job Announcement Lecturer in Human Rights Human Rights Program, University of Chicago Chicago, Il (USA) __________________________________________________ The Human Rights Program at the University of Chicago is accepting applications for a one-year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year, postdoctoral lectureship to begin Autumn Quarter 2010. Applicants must have the PhD in hand by September 2010. The Human Rights Program seeks a scholar with an inter-disciplinary approach, with research interests and teaching experience in one or more regional or thematic areas pertaining to human rights and/or humanitarian politics. Responsibilities include the design and teaching of 3 courses over three terms, coordination of the H.R. workshop, participation in the activities of the HR Program, and advising BA and MA theses. The salary is $43,000 plus full University benefits, a $2000 research account, and a nominal relocation allowance. The application should include cover letter, CV, and a writing sample.
