Call for Publications Theme: Prospects and Perspectives on Humanities-Oriented Locality Publication: Localities List-Post: [email protected] Date: Issue 1 Deadline: 31.8.2011 __________________________________________________ Locality in a globalized society is now becoming increasingly important to the survival and prosperity of human beings. The "Locality and Humanities" research team is producing an international academic journal, "Localities". The aim of publishing "Localities" is both to widely diffuse the results of humanities-oriented locality studies done domestically and abroad and to create a network for discourse critically exchanged by domestic and foreign scholars and activists. The topics of "Localities" mentioned below are just a sampling of a few of the topics that would be addressed. Prospects and Perspectives on Humanities-Oriented Locality In Focus New theoretical and practical prospects toward the future direction of the journal, Localities: - Prospects of humanities-oriented locality in a globalized society or from a cosmopolitan view - Non-western prospects on locality General Articles Development of various theories and practices on humanities-oriented locality: - The development of new theories on locality from post-modernism, post-colonialism, feminism, post-Marxism, etc. - Practical perspectives of solving locality problems based on various humanities-related theories Information for authors submitting manuscripts - The manuscripts, with the exception of references, tables, or figures, should not exceed 12,000 words. They must include an abstract of 150 words or less and 5-6 key words. - Text should use Microsoft Word format and be in a 12-point font with 2.54cm (1 inch) margins. - References must comply with the general guidelines in the Chicago Manual of Style published by the University of Chicago Press. - The author of the article published in Localities will received 900USD as a contribution to Localities.
