Announcement Type: Interuniversity Interdisciplinary Centre Institution: Centro Interculturale dedicato a Raimon Panikkar (CIRPIT) Location: Monte San Savino (Italy) __________________________________________________ The Intercultural Centre dedicated to Raimon Panikkar (CIRPIT) promotes and spreads cultural events inspired by Raimon Panikkar's thought, according to a dialogical approach in front of our pluralistic, complex reality. CIRPIT draws its inspiration from Raimon Panikkar's thought and from the Seminars of his Centre d'Estudis Interculturals, founded in Tavertet (Catalunya) on October 15th 1988. CIRPIT intends to keep alive its basic principles referred to the cosmotheandric reality,the human holistic dimension (body-mind-spirit) and the consequent sinergy of thought, action and contemplation. For this reason the promoters mean to follow Raimon Panikkar's oral teaching of life and thought. Consequentely they join his project of intercultural cooperation, aiming to preserve and renew the search after authentical living values such as peace,social justice and spirituality, through "the dialogical dialogue" among traditions, in the same spirit of Panikkar's Centre. Activities - The creation of an international network of individuals, associations, institutions and universities that engage in research and studies about Raimon Panikkar, according to various forms of cooperation. A network interculturally oriented, free from ideological and institutional constraints, open to new intellectual, spiritual and existential horizons and to all disciplines (religious and secular, humanistic and scientific). - The organization of meetings, seminars, interdisciplinary conferences and initiatives, in the spirit of the Centre d'Estudis Interculturals of Raimon Panikkar (Tavertet), focusing on the idea of combining intellectual reflection, meditation and body practice based on physical disciplines, aimed at understanding the ongoing processes of a civic and environmental responsibility. - The organization of intercultural initiatives at universities. - The creation of an annual scholarship to be assigned to a thesis or doctoral degree, or a book publication. - The allocation of an annual benefit fund on behalf of children and orphans in the world. - The creation of a web, updated bibliography of the texts and studies by Raimon Panikkar and of texts and studies dedicated to him: http://www.raimonpanikkar.it Contact: Cirpit Intercultural Centre Raimon Panikkar Patrizia Morganti, Administrative Secretary Loc.
