Job Announcement Type: Associate Professor of Feminist/Queer Studies of Race Institution: Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Emory University Location: Atlanta, GA (USA) Deadline: 1.11.2014 __________________________________________________ The Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Emory University announces a position at the associate professor level for a feminist studies and/or queer studies scholar whose work emphasizes national, transnational or diasporic approaches to the study of race. Emory University has strengths in feminist and queer theory, African-American studies, postcolonial studies as well as comparative and area studies, and WGSS wishes to enhance its contributions to these fields. We are open to a variety of disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and methodological approaches to the study of race and its relations to gender and sexuality. PhD required. The appointment is 100% within the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Review of applications will begin on November 1 2014.
