Ideologies”, to be published in December 2015.

This special issue is interested in papers on:

- The construction of race and racial identity in totalitarian or
radical ideologies, whether secular or religious.
- Theories of race, raciality and racism in the context of
  ideological radicalism and political extremism.
- Historical examinations of the evolution of the notion of race
  within supremacist organizations.
- Anti-Semitism, racially-conditioned Islamophobia and the
constructions of the racial ‘Other’ in a variety of geographical,
  ideological and cultural contexts.
- The reification or problematization of race in revisionist
  ideologies.

The special issue will have a global outlook, and therefore consider
case studies from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Americas and
elsewhere. In terms of ideologies under discussion, the entire
spectrum of non-liberal or illiberal ideologies will be considered,
including (neo-)Nazism, Fascism(s), Maoism, Stalinism, Hindutva,
