Call for Papers Theme: Borderless Communities and Nations with Borders Subtitle: Challenges of Globalisation Type: 3rd International Indonesian Forum for Asian Studies Institution: Centre for Southeast Asian Social Studies (CSASS), Gadjah Mada University Department of International Relations, Islamic University of Indonesia Location: Yogyakarta (Indonesia) Date: 8.–9.2.2017 Deadline: 15.12.2016 __________________________________________________ Scholars and interested parties are invited to submit abstracts (paper presentation) or short proposals (academic poster presentation) in the 3rd International Indonesian Forum for Asian Studies (IIFAS) conference entitled Borderless Communities and Nations with Borders: Challenges of Globalisation. Conference Focus This conference has an interdisciplinary Social Sciences focus drawing together. It will therefore also give importance to defence studies; radicalisation and counter-radicalisation, regional security policy, democratisation and conflict resolution as well as the politics of identity, heritage and related sub-themes. We invite international and national scholars, civil society organisations (CSO’s), government and non-government organisations (GO & NGO’s), students, professionals, corporate identities and members of the public to share in the related regional and international discussions. Procedure for Submitting Applications Delegates wishing to present their paper or poster presentations are invited to submit a one page abstract combined with a short CV (MS word format) to <[email protected]> before the closing date. All paper abstracts and poster proposals are required to be submitted in English, likewise all presentations are in English. Confirmation of Speaking Slot/Poster Presentation The IIFAS team will confirm acceptance of submissions within 7 days to enable delegates sufficient time to arrange their travel arrangements. Publications All accepted papers will be included in the ISBN general proceeding publication of the conference. Selected papers are invited to be included in a group of Scopus indexed journals. More information at a dedicated webpage. Registered delegates are required to submit their full papers for a peer review process before the 15th of March 2017. Location of Conference The Gadjah Mada University Club, UGM campus, 2 Pancasila Street, Yogyakarta and facilities at UII. Transportation will be provided for transfers.
