Call for Papers Theme: Peace based on Human Rights Type: XXVIIIth World Congress Institution: International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy Philosophical Society of Turkey Location: Istanbul (Turkey) Date: 16.–21.7.2017 Deadline: 1.2.2017 __________________________________________________ You are cordially invited to the XXVIIIth World Congress of the International Association for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy hosted by the Philosophical Society of Turkey. We shall be very pleased to welcome you in Istanbul, the bridge between East and West. The general theme of the congress will evolve around “Peace based on Human Rights”. Yet, where human rights are not protected peace cannot be achieved. This is the reason why their connection should be always emphasized in legal discourse. We also wish that the subthemes of the Congress touch all aspects of the Philosophy of Law and of Social Philosophy. We are eager to hear your suggestions. Submissions The International Society for the Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR) is accepting submissions for individual papers and group sessions (special workshops), to be presented at the XXVIII World Congress in Istanbul on 16 – 21 July 2017. The theme for the meeting is “Peace based on Human Rights”, but papers and panels need not be restricted to this theme. The rules for submitting papers are as follows: - Abstracts must be in English, French, German, Spanish or Turkish and under 400 words - There are no specific formatting requirements. - Papers may have more than one author. - There is limit to the number of papers per author.
