Call for Publications Theme: African Philosophy, Culture and Religions Publication: Filosofia Theoretica: Journal of African Philosophy, Culture and Religions Date: 2018 __________________________________________________ (Version française en bas) Bi-Lingual Edition (French and English Translations) of Filosofia Theoretica: Journal of African Philosophy, Culture and Religions Publication Cycle: Once every year (online only) Filosofia Theoretica is conceived as a veritable platform for the development of African philosophy and studies. Its other goal is to have African ideas circulated in the circle of African scholars and beyond. From 2018, the journal will begin to publish bi-lingual edition in both French and English languages. The aim is to bridge the gap between African philosophers in both Francophone and Anglophone countries. Submission On the one hand, English language authors may specifically submit articles for consideration in the bi-lingual edition. Editorial board can as well nominate an accepted English language paper for translation into French and inclusion in the bi-lingual edition. In this case, the author will be informed of this decision and will be expected to give approval. On the other hand, French language submissions, once accepted are automatically translated into English language for inclusion in the bi-lingual edition. For now, French articles will only be considered for the bi-lingual edition of the journal. Manuscripts should be 4000-6000 words in length (including Relevant Literature and footnotes) and adhere to the CSP Style Guide for authors, available at: http://csp.unical.edu.ng/pages/journal/ All manuscripts are to be prepared for anonymous review (with title page containing personal details on a different page) and emailed to: [email protected] or [email protected] The Subject Head should read: Submission for bi-lingual edition. Visit: http://csp.unical.edu.ng __________________________________________________ Édition bi-lingue (traductions en français et en anglais) de Filosofia Theoretica: Revue de la philosophie, de la culture et des religions africaines Périodicité : Une fois par an (en ligne exclusivement) Filosofia Theoretica se veut être une véritable plate-forme pour le développement de la philosophie et des études africaines. Elle ambitionne de favoriser la diffusion des grandes pensées philosophiques africaines dans et au-delà du cercle des universitaires du terroir. À compter de 2018, la revue commencera à publier une édition bilingue en français et en anglais. L' intérêt est de combler le fossé herméneutique entre les philosophes africains issus des aires culturelles francophones et anglophones. Soumission D'une part, les auteurs de langue anglaise peuvent spécifiquement soumettre des articles pour considération dans l'édition bilingue. Le comité éditorial peut également proposer la traduction en français d’un article en anglais standard et le publier dans l'édition bilingue. Dans ce cas, l'auteur sera informé de cette décision et devra donner son approbation. Par ailleurs, dès lors que articles soumissionnés en français reçoivent l’aval du comité scientifique après évaluation, ils sont automatiquement traduits en anglais en vue de leur inclusion dans l'édition bilingue. Pour l'instant, seuls les articles en français seront pris en compte pour l'édition bilingue de la revue. Les manuscrits doivent comporter entre 4000 et 6000 mots (y compris la documentation pertinente et les notes de bas de page).
