Call for Applications Theme: Translation and its Theories Subtitle: Theatre, Arts, Philosophy Type: Summer School Institution: Department of Human Sciences, University of L'Aquila Location: L'Aquila (Italy) Date: 16.–20.9.2019 Deadline: 15.6.2019 __________________________________________________ (Versione italiana sotto) The Department of Human Sciences of University of L’Aquila announces a selection of 22 students for admission to the "Translation and its theories: Theatre, Arts and Philosophy" Summer School which will take place in L’Aquila from 16th September to 20th September 2019. The Summer School will focus on subject matters regarding the following topic areas: - Philosophy and theory of translation (A); - Translating for the theatre (B); - Translating for the visual arts (C). The Summer School will be organised as open conferences in interdisciplinary format and in-depth seminars. No registration or enrollment fees are required. The selected candidates will be guaranteed meals, accommodation and transport to and from the School premises, as such expenses shall be borne by the Department of Excellence of Human Sciences. In addition a € 500.00 scholarship shall be conferred to selected candidates as reimbursement for their travel expenses. Graduates enrolled in Ph.D courses or Ph.D graduates who have earned their Ph.D in the last three years, students enrolled in a Master's degree course or graduates who have earned their Master’s Degree within the last three years are eligible to apply for selection. Candidates who have obtained the following requisites can apply for admission: - working/or having worked on a research project that is related to one of the three topic areas; - a good knowledge of the English language; - a good knowledge of the Italian language (only for topic areas B and C). Applications must include the following attachments: - an abstract of the required research project (max. 5000 characters including spaces); - a curriculum vitae specifying the candidate's scientific and professional activity; - a self-declaration, in lieu of affidavit, declaring the type of degree the candidate holds; - a copy of a valid identity document. La Summer School affronterà tematiche di studio riguardanti i seguenti indirizzi: - Filosofia e teoria della traduzione (A); - Tradurre per il teatro (B); - Tradurre per le arti visive (C). La Summer School sarà organizzata in conferenze aperte e dedicate in modo interdisciplinare e lezioni seminariali di approfondimento. Non è previsto il pagamento di alcuna quota di iscrizione. A tutti gli studenti selezionati verrà garantito, a spese del Progetto di Eccellenza di Scienze Umane, vitto, alloggio, trasporto da e verso la sede della School; in aggiunta, e previa verifica delle condizioni di cui all’art. 9 del presente bando, verrà conferita una borsa di studio di importo pari a € 500,00 a titolo di rimborso delle spese di viaggio. Alla selezione potranno partecipare dottori di ricerca che abbiano conseguito il titolo negli ultimi tre anni, dottorandi di ricerca, laureati magistrali che abbiano conseguito il titolo negli ultimi tre anni e studenti magistrali. Potranno partecipare alla selezione tutti coloro che: - stiano lavorando/abbiano lavorato ad un Progetto di Ricerca attinente all’argomento di uno dei tre indirizzi; - abbiano buona conoscenza della lingua inglese; - abbiano buona conoscenza della lingua italiana – solo per gli indirizzi B e C. La domanda dovrà essere corredata da: - abstract del progetto di ricerca (massimo 5000 battute spazi inclusi); - curriculum della propria attività scientifica e professionale; - dichiarazione sostitutiva di atto notorio attestante il titolo di studio di cui si è in possesso; - copia di un documento d'identità in corso di validità. La domanda di ammissione alla selezione dovrà essere indirizzata al Direttore del Dipartimento di Scienze Umane dell’Università degli Studi dell’Aquila.
