This search is conducted as per an agreement between the Portuguese Research Agency (FCT) and the University of Lisbon. The selected applicant will be appointed to a tenure track-position, for a trial period of five years. General Criteria Applicants should present evidence of significant work in either field of this search, knowledge of Arabic, and additionally of authorship of at least five (5) peer-reviewed articles, or book chapters in University of Lisbon tier A or B publishers in a relevant field, in the last five (5) years. Ranking Criteria Applicants who have met the general admission criteria are then ranked according to research and output (60%), teaching (18%), other relevant academic activities (2%), and teaching project (20%).
