Theme

With the progress of human civilization and the deep understanding of
human social development, people have been aware that globalization
is a rational choice for human beings to cope with various disasters,
human and natural, by ways of common governance and coordinated
development. This is an inevitable trend for the development of human
society. Globalization is essentially the extension, intensification
and integration of the worldwide regional transformation as well as
the cross-spacio-temporal social relations. As a systematic project
of human society it includes economy, politics, culture, science and
technology, etc.

Today, the world is in the midst of unprecedented great changes,
which have deeply affected the international system and order.
Regional conflicts and turbulences are more frequent than before.
Such global problems as poverty, ecology and climate change have been
further intensified. Where will be the future of human society? How
will countries around the world seize the opportunities and meet the
challenges? How to reshape the world order and improve the mechanism
of global governance? These issues require a genuine dialogue among
scholars from different cultural backgrounds and with broader
international perspectives.

The following subthemes will be the focus of the conference:

1. Nature and principle of globalization
2. Global Governance
3. Modernization of National Governance
4. Great Changes of the World History in the Past Hundred Years
5. Characteristics of Human Civilizations
6. The Significance of China's Road in the Contemporary World System
   and Order
