Hi, I was just trying to do what the question suggests...
We have person records, actually belonging to all the people working for us, the subcontractors, the suppliers and the customers. Of course we have employee records which hold some other information. The problem is, from time to time, some former subcontractor staff (belonging to person class) become our employees. I don't want to delete the person instance and create an employee instance because it has related information (for example attendance log which is related to Person by PersonID). So it would be great to find a way of switching the base class, supplying extra information required for an employee and save it back.
