Pasi, Mmm... You want MSDAC to see Cach� as another database?
Seems to me that you could set it up as Cach� itself, not impersonating as other system. But I have the strong feeling that you tried that and it didn't work ;) In which case, given that the application supports two very different databases, I guess they are doing some sort of detection and enabling database-specific code within the application Which, in turn, tells me that even if Cach� could pose as SQL Server the application won't quite work... Yet ;) (5.1 promises TransactSQL support and I can't wait to see what people at DevCon will be treated to!) Is there no chance to figure this out with the application vendor? HTH, Ram�n
