- Performance: should be about the same, there used to be a problem with
one to many relationship in v4 if you didn't create a certain index but v5
offers to create it for you if you use the wizard to define the relationship
Should be ... Yes! ... but unfortunately it's not :-((
Don't know exactly why (can think of a swizzling overhead issue) but p/c is
in fact VERY slow! We have a large help-desk-system with more than 200.000
calls inside with p/c relationship structure. Performance is getting poorer
and poorer when the system is growing. To speed it up we are thinking of
switching the p/c relationships to simple array collections.
Another unattractive thing and stupid restriction is, that you
couldn't use Bitmap-Indices when object is involved in an p/c :-((
I'm not happy to hear this. Does this count for p/c relationship only or for one/many as well?
