You can't physically corrupt a database using legacy globals. I'm still hoping that it is from something that you didn't do that you should do. An error every two or three months is excessive for any MUMPS system less than 15 years old. I hope it is far more likely that there are systems that have been in production for 20 years with zero errors.
Are you using the before image journal? It sounds like maybe a write-through cache (not Cachet) problem or perhaps something like that. Or it could be a Win2000 memory leak. I'm hoping that someone reads your plight and challenges you on the things you might have misconfigured. The alternative is that I will be very surprised to learn that you have found a real weakness in Cache'.
