A line feed and a space. Your printer is probably configured to interpret a single line feed as a carriage return / line feed pair (or you would have seen the "staircase effect"). > The new file has 0D0A and pushes everthing to the "right". I see no reason whatsoever why this would push anything to the right. The carriage return is probably redundant, but should do no harm. Are you sure this is the only difference?
