I created a new CSP page based on my old app (csp:object tag + cspbind mechanism), which I'm pretty sure worked fine with both Windows/IE and Linux/Mozilla clients. Now I discovered that this does not work anymore with Linux/Mozilla client! The save does nothing! It still works in Windows:-(
My Cache version has definitely gone up (now 5.0.7), the java VM may have been upgraded (currently Sun's 1.4.2_03) as may my Mozilla version (currently 1.6) after the time the old app worked ok. Now how do I select the mechanism to develop a new CSP app so that I can rely that after cache, browser and jvm updates it still continues to work? Is using submit and manually loading/saving data the only reliable way? I tested the zipcode in samples and the #call works but the #server does not.
