It's my experience benchmaking with Sun & Oracle.
I just use Cache for less than 1 year and I don't have real experience on that.
That's why the RFC !!

I just use 8KB blocks for everything and performance is just fine. Even for
an OLTP environment an application is generally going to write more than
one node into a disk block so the larger block size can help there as well.
