I didn't find it in the docs either.

Someone (I think Timur Safin) posted how to start
a routine within cache.exe (cache.exe -s... -u... "tagname^Routine").
But this way you can't pass parameters to the routine.
So I tried to pipe commands and WHOA it works! :-)
