Running the DB and terminal interface should be possible. The only think I recall about that was NT did not like DTM directly accessing the file system. I had to tweak something in the setup files/bat command about how DTM was going to use I/O.

Thank you for your input. I really don't want to support this setup either,
but I guess I have to give it a try, just to satify the customer. Thankfully
they are not using any networking capabilities on DTM, they just want to run
on something other than Win98.

Thank you,

Bill & Mike,

Just to make more clear this issue, I don't recommend neither my customers
nor any
dtm site to run over an unsupported plataform. No matter dtm can

efectively

run over
a WinNT/2K box, you fall into a nobody land due microsoft also consider
netbeui
as a legacy and obsolete protocol.
I think this kind of environment is only worth in a transition stage and
give you better
conditions (technical and/or commercial) for moving the site to Cache.

Regards,
Ricardo Jamschon.

NT is definitely not supported. You "can" get everything but the visual
m stuff working though. I recall back when I was supporting DTM I even
got networking to go on NT - all kinds of warnings but it worked.

Mike,
I have a couple of customers where I have recently deployed a DTM

6.6

server over
Win2000 (not supported by ISC). On one of them we share dtm server

&

cache 5
   on the same box.
Please let me know (to my address or to the group) what are you

looking

for and
I'll be pleased to answer your questions.

Hi all...

I'm trying to get away from supporting DTM, and am trying to get

everyone

to

move on to Cache, but some folks just won't give up a good thing.

Anyway,

I've had success running DTM on Win98, WinME and WinXP, but now I have

a

client asking if it will run on WinNT4. Anyone have any experiences

with

DTM

and WinNT4 they would like to share?

Thank you,
