I assume that you have Cache installed, but you don't say what version. so assuming you have a new v5 version of cache. right click on the cache cube, and select documentation, in the Find box enter the word "zstart" - it only finds 2 entries and they both point to the same page in the documentation namely

KEY=AZSS_ZStartZStop#NA_B61600 the point here is that you are playing with the main startup code of Cache, get it wrong, and you may not be able to start cache. start on this page, and read the concepts, if you have more questions, then come back to the newsgroup. if you don't have a full installation for any reason, then you can read the online version of the page at the following address: http://www.nlm.cz/search/search.csp again, put "zstart" in the search box and go from there. regards kev
