I know what you mean - if there's one thing that is capable of making a song work its 
a nice layered percussion. Although this stuff is hard to get live if you only have a 
standard kit (or whatever).

what did people think of the submarine remix single? I found it quite interesting that 
Cranes sound could be brought closer to what I usually listen to by the application 
(essentially) of a "funky beat". I'd be really pleasedif we were treated to this sort 
of think more often.

well I've no idea of course ;-) but i'm semi expecting more "soundtrack" chilled 
albums. The live lineup has lost the ferocity as has been said previously, and it 
seems a more laid back group as a result.
