"In fact, I believe there is no gap between Islam and science or reality," the Indonesian Vice Minister for Religious Affairs, Nazarudin Umar, said on Monday at the Annual International Conference on Islamic Studies (AICIS) XII-2012. About 1,200 participants from Rectors and Directors of private and state Islamic Universities in Indonesia come to the event.
