Bharath, I am not sure whether I am the right guy to give you any advise as I am also an IT guy working in technology division of a Investment bank, but my two cents would be go for CFA certification. It has three levels. Based on your comfort level in finance side, you can give level I in Dec. followed by level 2 and 3 in June2009 and June 2010 respectively. But mind you, this is not an easy course specially if you are not from finance domain. Thanks, Gaurav
