Android price isn't such an issue when you can now buy a 7" tablet for about US$40 ex china.
We make an embedded system that controls graywater processing and irrigation. Price was our deciding factor about 12 months ago, having an embedded tablet (with full wifi / touchscreen) is cheaper for us than using something like a pi, or even netmf.

Hi Jean-Eric,Very nice comparison. Thanks. The only downside of android+ioio is the price. If the android device is our daily-used phone, we won't leave it in the embedded system. But it's good when you have some old android devices.YanOn Dec 30, 2013 9:06 AM, "Jean-Eric Cuendet" <[email protected]> wrote:--Hi,--
