Hi everyone, I apologize if this has been discussed but I could not find anything in the search.
I am trying to figure out how to build a simple tracking system that would work something like this: An alarm on the android phone would 'trigger' if an IOIO became 'lost' (went out of a specified distance range). The phone would be the 'headunit' and the IOIO would be the 'dongle' or do I have it wrong and the IOIO would be the headunit and I would have to buy bluetooth dongles for 'trackers'? I am sorry but I am confused with bluetooth a bit. I also want it to have decent range so I read about 2 classes of bluetooth but can't figure out if they apply to bluetooth low energy or not. So I guess I am wondering if: 1. Can the IOIO be used with long range bluetooth (class 1 i believe its called)? 2. Does my idea make any sense or do I need to research this more? Any ideas and suggestions appreciated! I couldn't find any projects using the IOIO either as a proximity sensor etc so if anyone knows of any links to related projects I'd appreciate it :) Cheers from Canada! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ioio-users" group.
