The codebase has an app called IOIOTotureTest which is close to what you're
describing.
There should be no problem to support the configuration you mentioned. One
thing to note is that digital inputs are not rate-limited, meaning that if
you plug them into a source that toggles like crazy, it may DoS the IOIO.
