It is doable with major kludges. I'd actually prefer every client window to have an Ion-side background window for itself - and this could be decorated for transients - but unfortunately this confuses many apps, so I have not done it. (The apps do not comply with the icccm or implement a certain unclear part of it differently, although this latter point only matters on floatws:s with apps that have their own move and resize controls -- something that shouldn't even exist). -- Tuomo
