This will be difficult for you to reproduce, as it
_may_ require a multi-head setup, so I will attempt to
describe it in a detailed fashion.
I have three monitors, and X is tricked by my matrox
driver into thinking it is just one big 3840x1024
monitor.
When I start ion, I immediately split horizontal
twice, which leaves me with three total frames. I
then resize the frames to each be as large as one of
the physical screens - so when I am done, I have three
frames, each as large as a (and taking an entire)
physical screen.
Now, if I have focus in the first frame, and begin
hitting alt-tab, the focus changes to the next frame,
and the mouse cursor follows the focus (the mouse
cursor just magically pops into the upper left of the
frame I just alt-tabbed to). Hit alt-tab again and I
move again to the next fram (the third one this time).
Again, the mouse cursor follows the focus change to
the next frame.
But here is where it gets weird - if I hit alt-tab a
third time, as expected, I change focus back to the
first frame again (because there are only three) BUT
the mouse cursor stays in the third frame. The mouse
cursor does not follow the alt-tab.
Further, if I try to move the mouse cursor to the left
to move it across all three physical screens to the
first one, it won't go - it is stuck at the physical
screen boundary of the right-most screen - it will not
cross into the next monitor. Strangely, I can move it
off the right edge of the right-most monitor (where it
_should_ be stopping) and it just appears into the
middle monitor from the left.
It gets stranger ... lets say I shrink the middle
frame so that it does not take up an entire monitor,
and the right-most frame actually overlaps into the
middle monitor - then when I alt tab between frames,
it seems to work as expected - when I cycle through
from the third fram back to the first, the mouse
cursor actually does follow back to the first frame -
but that is because the mouse cursor in the _third_
frame is actually in the middle monitor, because the
third frame overlaps into the middle monitor.
If I alt-tab to the right-most monitor, and move the
mouse across the physical screen divide into the third
monitor, then it gets stuck there again when I alt-tab
to the first one again.
