I've progessed a bit: I'm using the dock (thx steve for the tip). Now what I'm thinking of is that when I click on the system tray icon, the application gets opened in the scratchpad, and the scratch pad made visible. Is that possible? Is that possible with a winprop? And can the scratchpad be made visible on the addition of the application window? >From my undestanding, there's one scratchpad. Is there a way to have several workspaces with the same behaviour as the scratchpad (except their visibility would ba toggled by other key bondings) ? That way I could have one for psi, with the correct size. Thanks. Raph
