Well, I assume your ideas and I feel the difference. But obviously these two logos are closely similar in there look. I think, that such similarity isn't... good, not to say more. Especially for the two things, that are so closely related as wmii and ion. IMHO.

Well, both use just a few "pixels", so in that sense they're similar. However, the wmii logo isn't that nicely tiling (the i dots break symmetry), and is missing the mirror component.
