This file was there, but it was very old and does not change with new errors. I deleted it to see if there were perhaps problems with overwriting, but that didn't do anything. I have gone through the config files and could find nothing about turning logging on in case it was accidentally turned off, but could find nothing there. Any ideas on how to proceed in having errors logged and then finding that log? As it is all I get is a screen with the rather cryptic words: "Failed to start ion-statusd." or something to that effect. What I would like to know is why, or at least have a hint as to what was being objected to specifically. I am assuming that a log may contain more specific info than this.
