hope I understand this correctly:
the prompt waits for (part of) a valid command, i.e. for one defined in
the menu and then displays all matching command which can be selected by
TAB expansion/<RET>. to see all commands hit
F12 <TAB>. more <TAB>s cycle through the commands:
and, for example, to exit ion, this would work:
F12 ex <TAB> <RET>
