You can always send me beer, but it won't help. Ion3 has taken far too long (stable Ion2 was released three years ago, 2004-02-07), and I really need a break from the project. Counting from PWM, I've been working on it for the last 8 years, a bit almost every week. I've said a long time ago, that I will take a long (if not even permanent) break from Ion after Ion3 has been finished. But it seems that is not going to happen in the next few years, unless I simply decide to drop a lot of planned features. I simply have neither the time nor interest. I never wanted Ion to become a major software development project, but that's what has happened with Ion3. I'd rather it be just research code, and that's where I'll get back into with Ion4, if I ever start working on it: trying out ideas, instead of polishing them. But for now, I've got far more pressing research to do, and other more interesting, _small_, project ideas to occasionally hack on. Ion is too big. -- Tuomo
