It will be the end of Ion3, unless someone else continues with
Ion3plus or something. Whether there will be Ion4 is an open
question. I do have some ideas I'd like to be tried, but whether
I'll ever get to implementing them (the dirty work) is not certain
at all... Maybe I'll settle for writing about them after I've
thought about them more thoroughly: it's much more fun.
Could you give us some hints on your ideas?
An implementation of VIS?
UI oriented? Another window manager ?
A new GUI toolkit?
Something else?
I will also have to add that ion3 was/is a great window
manager.
