well, it has'nt under OSX, at least not as obviously (rather wide rim)
as it does now, at least not with the version (3ds-20060524) I used
previously. reading the f..ing (or any other) FAQ does'nt change this
fact. I can only state this behaviour. you need not believe it, of
course.

another thing I've noticed since I moved to 3ds-20070203 is, that I
encountered a few freezes of the mouse cursor (I wanted to select some
text for the paste buffer, I leave the mouse alone otherwise as far as
possible) and, when I restarted ion, a crash of the X11 server. the
crashes might well be attributed to OSX, but the cursor freezes I've
never seen in ~ 2 y of ion use previously. just to let you know. hope
it's not in the
doing-it's-best-to-replicate-or-at-least-have-some-fun-FAQ, too.

and, finally, I managed to get 3ds-20070203 into a state where it
believed the scratchpad had height and widht zero (as saved in the
default-session file). no idea how it happened. at least it never
happened before and I don't think this should occur at all.
