I do still get that broken configuration with spurious Super_Ls
and Hyper_Ls, if I run setxkbmap, although I do not actually use
the practically uncustomisable [*] Xkb keymaps (instead loading 
a full customised Xmodmap keymap stored from pre-Xkb X).


[*] Following the recent trend in FOSS: customisable in theory,
but not in practise thanks to ever-increasing complexity (resulting
from the pursuit of the Idiot Box Linux).
