I've been considering releasing (as a patch) a separate nagware version

I take it there's no interest for such a "free" nagware version?

I'd be interested in a free, nagware version, if the 28-day clause in
the non-nagware version is here to stay (I'm still hoping it'll
disappear :)).

I'm in the process of developing an Ion package for Fedora. I use Ion
extensively, and in all my Linux GUI environments, and wouldn't mind
maintaining such a package.

A free (nagware) version would allow this package to be absorbed into
the main Fedora distribution, or at least to an 'Extras' repo like
livna/RPM Fusion.

Thanks, BTW, for such an incredibly good WM!
